South on Broad Rummage Sale and Live Painting

Saturday, April 15 at 10 AM – 8 PM
Join me at South on Broad April 15th for their fundraising Rummage Sale. I have donated a print of my Hand of Liberty painting and a folk art flag made with salvage materials from the building’s renovations. All proceeds go to completing the restoration of the mixed use space which will include a local history area and fine art gallery featuring local artists.
I will be out front throughout the day working on a mural panel for one of the building’s missing windows. The theme of the mural will the Cold Sassy Tree. Rena and I have lots of ideas for cultural events in her big box of potential and we hope you will join us for this preview of the space.
Please check back here for updates on the event and the preliminary preparation for the mural. We look forward to seeing you there!

This event will be my first presentation of new art and information leading up to the launch of a crowdfunding campaign that I hope will lead to the purchase of a building in downtown Commerce.
I have outgrown my home studio space and need to expand to a larger professional space in order to actively pursue commissions, meet clients to discuss works in progress, launch community based projects and network with local businesses to organize community-wide art events.
As you can see here, I am currently working in my kitchen while I cook dinner, as well as in the crowded studio I have outgrown.
Please check back for updates and work in progress photos. These jewel-tone canvases are all new paintings for the trunk show.
